| Background | Sorg Jurell grew up in the Bajoran Resistance. He joined at
the age of 15 and participated as an active member of the
Resistance until he was 20. He joined the fledgling Bajoran
Militia in 2364 and was given a rank of Lieutenant due to his
combat experience and skill.
He rose through the ranks until 2369, as a Major he participated in a raid on a Cardassian Depot in the closing stages of the Cardassian Withdrawal. His team died due to poor intelligence information – they suspected a traitor and as Jurell was the only one to escape he was framed by the true Cardassian informer and was sent to a penal colony for a year. He was freed when he agreed to join the Bajoran Circle Resistance Movement. He operated as a Protective Services Officer to some key Circle Politicians in the Bajoran Provisional Government until 2373 when he decided to get out of the Circle. His Betrothed ran away with his best friend and Jurell joined Starfleet. He entered as an Enlisted Officer, keeping his past quiet with the aid of a friend in the Bajoran Government. He has kept a low profile and remained Enlisted during his entire career. He has been recommended for a promotion five times and has refused the application to Starfleet Academy as an officer. On the USS Dominico he saved the life of Captain Dresco Savage during an Away Team during the Dominion War, for which he received a commendation. He was assigned to the USS Sulu when the ship was commissioned in 2379. He has recently joined the USS Sulu's TAC Team. |

| Personality Profile | Sorg Jurell is a professional soldier. He has specialised in Security skills and has a very cool attitude under fire. In a crisis he is known for his calmness, and he seems to find solutions to problems intuitively, especially when they pertain to tactical situations. He has been given the moniker "Iceman" because of this. He is a simple man by his own admission, loyal and disciplined. He loves to gamble but only in games like poker and Dabo.
