 Emma Summers was born on Starbase 16 - a remote base on the frontier to
parents who were both in Starfleet. She grew up fully expecting to serve
when her time came - it was the only career option open to her as both
parents pushed her to study in that direction. When her parents died in a
warp core breach accident while surveying a colony world on the USS Monshu,
Emma was officially made a ward of the Starbase Executive Officer who had
been a close friend of the Summers family. He saw to it that Emma continued
in her studies - and was relieved when she made it into the Starfleet
Academy. She failed the passing grades for Officer ranks but received
sufficiently high marks to get in the enlisted ranks. She joined and was
found suitable to study counselling and medical proficiencies.
Emma has a primary medical role as a clinical nurse, and a secondary
supporting role as a counsellor.

| Physical Description
|
Dark haired and grey eyed, Emma is considered to be a
beautiful young woman. She has an athletic body, and she keeps in shape with
a strict diet and exercise regimen. In her official capacity she is friendly
and open - happy and a little naive. In her personal life she is withdrawn
and shy, with no friends to speak of. She enjoys solitude and solitary
pursuits - holodeck novels being a favourite pasttime. |
