Stencil was born on Bolarus IX and it was clear from a very early age that he had amazing people skills. He always found himself in a crowd, listening mainly, but he was always there. He'd studied in various institutions around Bolarus, learning what he could about people and tending bar. He figured that was an ideal location to do what he wanted: interact with people.

Having studied everywhere he could on his homeworld, Stencil set out for the stars. Eventually he ended up on Rigel, and was admitted into the bartending academy there. After several years, his craft was honed, and he set out once more.

By chance, Stencil found himself working on a Federation starbase. He served there for a couple years, before the captain of the USS Republic. He served on the Republic for a few years, tending bar and helping out the counsellors with some information counselling. On a whim, he decided it was time to move on, and found a newly commissioned ship that looked like it could really use his talents, so Stencil signed on with the USS Sulu.

Stencil is a fairly friendly, outgoing man. He's always willing to listen, and offer advice to those that want it. Sometimes he'll even offer a word or two to those that don't.

Stencil isn't very tall with a bulky build. He has a gentle and caring face that is very good at getting people to talk.
