Amy Polly Reese was born to an architect father and a mother who practiced medicine in Amy's native city of Kalamazoo, Michigan. Both encouraged Amy in all she did, especially when she expressed a desire to attend Starfleet at the young age of 12. In order to give their daughter a headstart and expose her to the arduous scholastic trials she would be faced with upon entry to Starfleet, they enrolled Amy in a very strict, very academically challenging school that would teach Amy the skills required to excell at Starfleet Academy. So, when she became the eligible age of 13, Amy was sent to the Kushton Byers Prepratory College where she remained and studied for four years. At the end of her fourth year, she applied and was accepted into Starfleet Academy with the knowledge that she wanted to serve in Starfleet, but not quite sure yet which area she was most interested in. She was always a bright girl and was tenacious and determined in all she did, which laid open many options for her, but what Amy was especially good at was interacting with people. That is what drew her to medicine. Her mother, of course, endorsed Amy's decision, but she also knew it was the best one for Amy. Her daughter enjoyed life and living it, and by being a doctor, Amy could use that drive to save the lives of others; coupled with her extroverted nature and the ease with which she related to others, Amy was the perfect candidate for a career in medicine. So, after graduating from Starfleet Academy, Amy applied and was of course accepted into Starfleet Medical where she could combine her desire to serve in Starfleet with her newfound love of medicine. After her Cadet Cruise, Amy was posted to the USS Sulu where she now serves.

Amy has a vibrant personality and a fun sense of humour. Many have called her spunky and somewhat wild at times, but that stems from her deep love of life. She interacts well with others and, as has become second nature to her during her medical studies, she shows compassion and empathy towards all she meets, when she's not trying to impose her extreme passion for life upon them, of course. Amy is intelligent, down-to-earth, and easy to get along with, though her exuberance can be difficult to keep up with at times. Overall, Amy's just a very happy person. |
| Physical Description

Amy, like most Starfleet officers, is fit and enjoys keeping in shape. She has large, blue eyes, naturally strawberry blonde hair, which she wears short and rather unruly at times. She is slightly above average height, but with her enthusiasm concerning everything and anything, she is always a very dominating presence wherever she goes. |
