During her teens, she was noticed by the Trill Joining Program for her sharp analytical and practical mind. This resulted in an invitation for the Trill Joining Academy. An offer she declined then as her father was closely related to it. Her grandparents didn't agree with this decision and started to coax the young girl into rethinking it. Two years of studies and test later, Freya was approved as a valid host for a symbiont.

While studying at the Joining Academy, Freya had met several joined Trills who were a part of Starfleet. Since she had no desire to stay on the same planet as her father, she started to inform about the application process for Starfleet Academy. She passed the entrance exam with flying colours and quickly made a name for herself as a dedicated student. It was her personality that nearly flushed her out. She had almost no contact with the other cadets besides those she followed classes with. It was her exceptional grades that kept her in Starfleet Academy.

She eventually graduated from the Academy with mediocre total grades and was assigned to the USS Europe, an Akira class starship. After a year, of doing nothing spectacular, she was called back to Trill to be joined. She took extended leave and travelled back to Trill.

A year later, Freya returned as a new person. As the tradition was, she had changed her surname to the symbiont she was carrying now: Pos. As she returned back to duty, she was reassigned to the USS Sulu.

After the joining, her character changed for the better. She now seeks out, and enjoys the company of others. She still is convinced though, that her view on things is better. Only this time, she tries to keep that to herself.

Freya is the third host of the Pos symbiont.

First host: Geran. He was an artist, renowned for his sculptures.
Second host: Kail. A diplomat assigned to the Trill embassy on Bajor.
