Background Natalia was born on the Romulan Neutral Zone border in a Federation Starbase to Janus & Alexandria Druschev - both Starfleet Officers. Janus an Operations Officer and Alexandria a Science Officer (Astrophysics). Her youth was spent around Starfleet kids and her whole existence has been Starfleet oriented. All she has ever wanted to do is be a Starfleet Officer like her parents and the people she grew up with. Her parents insisted that she complete her studies in her chosen field in civilian universities so that she could live on Earth and see something of life outside of a Starfleet base. Still at the end of her studies she was engaged as a civilian instructor in Astrophysics at the Academy to test the waters.

Living on the Romulan Border prompted her parents to give her language lessons from a very early age in Romulan and Vulcan languages - and she can speak and read/write in both with total fluency. Her Russian accent lends a certain style to her spoken words as far as she is concerned - however Romulans and Vulcans do not agree.

She has a love of the stars and the way the universe works - a love fostered by her mother and Starfleet. She is consumed by the mechanics of stars and temporal theory and spends her time wrapped in the safe cocoon of her work.

The birth of her son was the result of a brief romance with a Starfleet Academy Instructor when she was a civilian contractor. He shipped off to the USS Heron on an extended voyage and she was left behind with a baby. She did not tell him of his son, choosing to raise him on her own.

She enlisted in Stafleet Academy a year later and has not looked back. Her romance over, she has devoted her time to her son and her working career. She has had several shipboard romances, but nothing serious - her son Domenic is 9 and does not take kindly to men in her life. It has been difficult for Natalia, but her son is important and will be sent away to study in Earth schools soon enough.

She has taken an assignment to USS Sulu due to a 'difficulty' with her Project supervisor - the Lt. Commander and herself had a brief affair that ended badly thanks to Domenic.
Personality Profile Natalia (Natya to her friends) is hard working and a little self absorbed at times. She has a temper when things do not go her way, and can be selfish about her own needs. She has a devoted relationship with her son Domenic, but is placed in difficult situations often. She is lonely most of the time, and has had several failed romances due to her son and the pressures of work. Out of shift time she enjoys diversions that take her away from her 'real' life - holodecks are a favorite, and she tends to get a little lost in them sometimes.
Physical Description Natalia is an attractive woman who carries herself with poise and grace. She always dresses to accentuate her body but has little need of cosmetic applications. She changes her hair style often, but it is brunette with a touch of red naturally. She has very pale blue eyes and they are her most striking feature. She spends time getting a tan and has an athletic frame (she runs and exercises in a gym to keep toned). Her voice is suited to singing but she doesn't sing - she has a Russian accent with every language she speaks.
Special Notes Domenic is 9yrs old - very smart (gifted), stubborn and mischievous. He wants to go back to Earth and causes trouble for his mother's relationships.
