| Background | Corran Quezith was born on Achicar Prime to Gevichar Felzith and Shenahri Quemin
into a warm and loving environment regardless of the fact that both his parents were
well-known and hyper-active scientists with strong tendencies for exploring beyond the
Achicar System. As such, the only periods in time in which Corran's family found itself
on Achicar Prime, was solely because their vessel had returned to their homeworld to
leave off data and materials picked up on their voyages, providing a firm balance for
Corran between planet-side activities as well as shipboard.
Unlike other Achicarians that were of scientific breeding, Corran was never put through an extensive training that would enable the use of telekinetic abilities; his parents saw fit to allow him a healthy and active childhood that revolved around his evolution as a warm and loving person rather than see him converted into a near-cold and unsocial member of the Achicarian Society's upper cast. This is what ultimately drove Corran's education towards science. Corran's education was actually quite extensive throughout his life, and to this day he continues to learn as if his mind were as fresh as a human child's. His ability to grasp concepts was somewhat superior to that of his classmates wherever he found himself, and it became more and more evident as he became a biologist with a vast perception of related sciences, that he would someday become one of the most prominent scientists in Achicarian Society. The Achicarian Government saw fit to pass Corran onto his own assignments without his parents by the age of 15. Corran was quick to take up any assignment they threw at him, and much to his surprise, he was put on the forefront of Achicarian deep space exploration on their faster-than-light exploration cruisers with a select group of Achicarians that were all in charge of first contact missions. At a glance, it never appeared evident that Corran led a very happy life, but since childhood he had been curious about the Universe and its inner workings. Corran was an already charismatic boy but became far moreso into adulthood, remaining truly happy with everything that was put up to him. His ability to surround himself with friends and family at all times served him well during contact with alien races, but it also brought him trouble on occasion. Regardless of his rowdiness, Corran always came out with the best; this brought him home to an orbiting station over his homeworld where he served as a physician in xeno- sciences for non-Achicarian visitors. Nearing the end of his career as a physician on Kalingto, Achicarian relations with its neighboring systems had decayed to a point where they feared for their lives. Negotiations during the previous five years failed to stop what was to come. A massive fleet of alien vessels known as the Savior Fleet had united to eradicate the Achicarians due to their telepathic and telekinetic talents, abilities feared as a weapon rather than the essence of Achicarian life. The Achicarians had never built warships having always been a peaceful race, and there was no time to prepare for a conflict. The Achicarian System fell swiftly to the assailants; Achicar Prime was struck the worst and billions were lost in a polaron bombardment. Several ships, starships, and bases were destroyed while a few others had managed to amass together in an attempt to erect an intense shield that would protect the few survivors of the fierce attack. The irony of this devastating blow became the fact that the upper caste, those trained to use their extra-sensorial abilities to their limits, united in an effort to protect the survivors – effectively proving that the Achicarians were dangerous and to be feared in the eyes of their enemies. The attack was devastating on every scale possible and left Corran bereft of emotions. As an active physician he was told to treat hundreds, even thousands, of wounded Achicarians before he was allowed to rest, and when he had time to rest, it was accompanied by emotionally inflicted wounds he hadn't had time to dwell upon. His entire family had been wiped out in the polaron bombardment, the only possible surviving members would be somewhere in the distant galaxy or beyond on the generational vessels constructed by the exploration division, ships with no intentions of returning home. Hope was lost, and Corran's desire to continue studying and practicing vanished, closely following in the steps of millions of other Achicarians that suffered the same and shared their pain telepathically through what they have called "The Community" for a long time now. The most powerful minds struggled to attain stability in the efforts to rebuild and guide the Achicarians, but it was not enough and they found themselves forced to ask for help beyond their system, to people that would not fear them and instead help them. For the first time in Achicarian history, the Achicarians found themselves recalling any ships they had in deep space in a widespread distress call that would only be heard by their own, but it also marked the event of which an alien government would be asked to take them under a protective wing. Corran remained oblivious to these events throughout the recuperation efforts, but eventually returned to work as a physician to aid his own people, realizing that not doing so might add to the decay and extinction of the same. It seemed that every soul was content to simply let go and die out thanks to the vicious alien attack, but a bright light did appear not only for Corran, but for all of his people. The United Federation of Planets heard the call sent out by the Achicarians and dispatched a small fleet regardless of the six-month voyage at maximum warp. A time of great instability settled in at this time and paranoia began assaulting the populace. The few parts of Achicar Prime that had been restored were covered with skeptics that did not believe any external alien government would be so soundly willing to aide them selflessly, an event that well could have ended up in a disaster with the Federation fleet that came into the system. During the Federation's intervention, Corran was asked to represent several diplomatic aspects with the representatives of the Federation. He, with a few others, led Achicar into the first steps of a possible unification with the Federation in the future while establishing a new Federation outpost in the Achicar System. With the Federation in the system with a variety of warships that would protect the Achicarians, it was decided that integration had to include the introduction of Achicarians into Federation society, an event that allowed Corran's worries to rest. Corran was an obvious choice for involvement with the Federation and was quickly taken back to Federation territory to be put through a crash course training that would hopefully allow him to adjust more quickly to his surroundings than if they had simply placed him somewhere. To that extent, he was set up at the Daystrom Institute. His time at the Institute proved more than useful, it became his new passion - a flame that ignited his interests and brought him back to life in ways he previously thought weren't possible. He soon found himself immersed in the extensive archives of the Institute, reading and researching everything he could about the Federation, not able to get enough, and then furthering his desire for exploration upon discovering that the Federation had a military primarily based on scientific exploration: Starfleet. Although Achicarians had been drafted into the Academy by this point, Corran held strong objections to the very concept of military. His goal was that of pure science and he had no room for anything that would be accompanied by violence. The few members of his race entering Starfleet Academy came from a new warrior caste that would become the true protectors and defenders of the Achicar System, the first true countermeasure to further invasions. Due to his extreme experience in scientific fields with his own people and social aptitudes with aliens from previous assignments, it wasn't difficult for Corran to negotiate a position onboard a Starfleet vessel where he could stay as a civilian and still explore the galaxy on the forefronts, with this Corran was even granted honorary membership to the Daystrom Institute. Things seemed pleasant for a while, but no more than two months into his activity onboard his first starship, Corran encountered variables that he'd been unable to cope with entirely. The lack of intercommunication and phobias towards telepaths reached him and changed him in ways he hadn't imagined possible, and eventually, he found himself forcing himself into taking leave of Starfleet to return home (while also having been called home to perform diplomatic duties). For a time, Corran became himself again and enjoyed being amongst his own, regretting only that he wasn't with his newly joined twin brother Soren Rio, from the USS Miranda...eventually though, he also realized just how hard his heart had been shaken by his time onboard the Miranda by a man known as Cristobel Sefton. After only two weeks, Corran returned to Earth and sought him out just as he was assigned to the Intrepid-Class USS Sulu. Corran lived with Cristobel for a while, and created an arboretum for the Sulu while also performing scientific duties onboard the vessel, but soon the same troubles that had assaulted him on the Miranda seemed to follow him to the Sulu, only this time there was the addition of a health concern that ultimately brought him back to Achicar Prime… After returning home to recuperate, Corran's life began changing drastically. It remains unclear what exactly happened in the course of his treatment, but much of his formerly rowdy and loud personality changed, mimicking more closely that of an El-Aurian. He became a consummate professional and dedicated scientist, but also considerably more humanitarian than before, intensifying his outreach into people's lives. His return to the Sulu promises to be strange for him, in more ways than possibly even he can imagine. |

| Personality Profile | Generally a peace loving person, Corran tends to find himself performing tranquil
activities both in public and in private. He is quite passionate, fearless at times, but also
devilishly charming and intelligent, qualities that have served him well inside and outside
of his naturally calm state. Nowadays he is considered a listener, a good counsel to those
that need an ear.
Being a scientist at heart, there is little that will shock Corran, he is the eternal skeptic and while allowing himself to marvel at the greatness of the universe and that which exists in it, he firmly stands behind scientific explanations behind all things including the existence of omnipresent and omnipotent beings or energy forms, seeking out the one creator of all things... |

| Physical Description | Corran is tall, and his body is otherwise well kept as he believes in keeping in excellent
shape. In terms of clothes he likes to keep himself in a casual style while also looking
professional and socially outgoing, but will absolutely never wear a uniform if he has a
say in it.
As an Achicarian, certain parts of his body are prone to characteristic color changes upon excitation or by means of intense emotional states, but in natural and unmolested state, his eyes are blue, and his hair is light brown. |

| Special Notes | Corran holds a strong telepathic ability slightly above that available to untrained Achicarians. In particular, he seems to have exercised his telepathy to the point of being able to feel or sense all things that surround him should he concentrate sufficiently, regardless of their being alive or not… Slowly, he has also grown a strong affinity towards using telepathy entirely rather than speaking, possibly a trauma from having suffered lesions from the lack of a Community during his lone ventures into the Federation. | |||||||||||||||
