The Tae'Sollar Desert

Although similar in environment and climate to its sister desert, Thanatos, the Tae'Sollar Desert remains relatively uninhabited. Along with Thanatos, it was one of the regions on Tae'Karada that served as a slave encampment during the planet's terraforming days, and remains unaltered to this day. Its extreme distance from the provinces of New Plouton and Arcadia make it non conducive to settlement by Karadans, for the import of goods and supplies from both provinces would require air transport, a costly method that no desert-bred could readily afford. So, to this day, Tae'Sollar has remained desolate aside from the many native species of animals and plants who thrive in its harsh climate. One small settlement does exist however. It is comprised of a group of Karadans who strongly wish to separate themselves from the outsiders. They struggle each day to preserve their way of life in the desert.

Although it seems an utter waste of land, Tae'Sollar does have one main attraction that draws in citizens from all around Tae'Karada. Recently built by crimelord, Jadda the Hutt, the Tae'Sollar desert boasts the only pod racing track in all of Tae'Karada.

If Tae'Sollar did attract everyday tourists, another point of interest would be the sandfalls, a natural wonder seen only in the desert. These amazing spectacles occur often in the canyon regions after sandstorms have created large dunes of sand near the canyon's precipices. Slowly, the sands drizzle over the edge of the cliffs, until they gather momentum and cascade down in a thunderous stream of glistening crystalline sand grains that rival the beauty and intensity of some of the waterfalls on Turren.
