Physical Description:
Zale is an imposing man. Tall and muscular, he never has a problem intimidating others into giving him what he needs. His face is hard to read, and his dark eyes are even harder. He has dark skin and hair, and seems to be shrouded in an air of mystery.

Professional History:
Zale Tregat has businesses all throughout New Plouton, though he still remains a silent, hidden partner in most of them. Recently, with the sudden vacuum created by the death of Dargus Kandran, he has begun to take a more visible role in the business world of New Plouton, especially in its underworld. While most of his business interests reside in the commerce capital of Tae'Karada, he has based his headquarters in the seedy landscape of Thanatos. Zale has made an effort to get a finger into every imaginable market he can. Fortunately he has more than enough funds to support his ventures.

His marriage to Kaysa Zenarr helped to expand his wealth by nearly double. Kaysa received a very large percentage of Rennor Karradas' wealth when the man died, being his sole benefactor. Upon her marriage to Zale, according to Tae'Karadan law, all her possessions and holdings became the property of her legal spouse. The marriage also secured the New Plouton Spaceport, a property he had been looking to acquire for quite awhile.

Background
Little is known about Zale Tregat's youth. Rumours indicate that he served for a time in the Imperial military. Other rumours seem to say that he ran off when he was young and hitched a ride to Tatooine where he was taught the ways of the underworld at the slimy tail of Jabba the Hutt. Zale neither confirms or denies any of the rumours; he just meets them with an enigmatic smile.

He moved his operations to Tae'Karada five years ago, settling in New Plouton to increase the sizable fortune he'd already amassed. He met with success at every turn. Those close to him claimed him to be the luckiest man in the galaxy, or even touched by the Force. He rejected all those notions, and just said he knew what he was doing.

A year ago, he had the idea to begin a takeover of New Plouton. Again, he has been met with success. He owns businesses in eighty percent of the markets, and most leaders in their respective fields.

Things were going along smoothly in his life until the night of Thaniss 4, 3ABY. On that night, he finally met the woman he had seen so many times at various clubs around New Plouton. Zale finally met Kaysa Zenarr. Along with Kaysa, he met Maeren Shivral, and from that point forward he was drawn into their orbit, and his life has twisted off the path it had previously been following.

Something about Kaysa drew him close, and tugged at parts of him he'd never thought could be tugged. Four months after their first encounter (months in which she haunted his dreams), he finally went in search of her. It was then that he found himself being drawn closer, caring more than he should, for a woman who forced herself not to care.

The more time he and Kaysa spent together, the closer they became, until it was undeniable that he was in love with her. His admission of love came on the night Kaysa's former fiancé was killed, a death that the authorities tried to pin on Kaysa and Zale.

They were sent to prison for a short period of time, during which they were finally drawn all the way into each other with Kaysa admitting her love for Zale.

In an attempt to get his hands on the Spaceport, Dargus Kandran freed Kaysa, who managed to get a confession from the real murderer, Vrax Draydge. She then used that information to free Zale, and then promptly married him. Doing so immediately made all of her possessions revert to Zale, including the Spaceport with which she'd bargained her freedom with Kandran.

Kaysa's double-cross did not sit well with Kandran, who made his anger known at a private party held by crimelord Weibran the Hutt. Kaysa was stabbed and nearly killed during a fight with Kandran. An explosion knocked Dargus into Kaysa, accidentally impaling her with the vibroblade held in his hand. As the medics were taking Kaysa to their speeder outside, Dargus Kandran stood by watching. Zale charged the man with the intention of caving his head in with a pike. Dargus had other plans, and cleanly chopped through Zale's arm with a sabre made of energy.

Kaysa and Zale were taken to the hospital where they were treated. Zale received a prosthetic to replace the portion of the arm that had been severed. Though, the ordeal of his encounter with Dargus Kandran was nothing compared to the new trial that awaited him: Kaysa's son, Keeve.

Personality:
Zale likes playing the part of the enigma. He cares for those he likes, and has little time or patience for those he doesn't. Despite the rumours, he did not have his heart removed by the Hutts. He has a large heart and cares deeply for those for whom he favours. He is a passionate man and takes great joy in living his life as well as he can. He does not enjoy hurting others, but he'll do it without a thought if needed.

Zale uses whatever means of transport the situation requires. He has a large variety of vehicles at his disposal.

Form of Dress:
Usually, whatever Zale wears is going to be in dark black or grey. He dresses well and maintains a large collection of clothing in a variety of styles.
