Physical Description
Raxis is a brooding figure standing at nearly six feet tall. His frame is muscular with a thin build as if he spends much of his time running and swimming. His eyes are a deep shade of green. Tattoos spiral down his skin from his biceps to his forearms, and his hair is tied back into a ponytail. Strands of hair hang over the sides of his face, framing his searing eyes. Much can be said about a man's appearance, and the visage of Raxis L'Ygr is not an inviting one. While being an attractive man, his whole appearance whispers words of caution.
Professional History:
Raxis is a former Stormtrooper for the Empire. He grew up on Tatooine and joined the Empire at the age of 16 to fulfill a childhood dream of leaving the dusty planet. He was immediately sent through boot camp and stationed on Kashyyk to guard the enslaving of Wookies, followed by a short posting on the Death Star. Luckily, he was sent to his third station as a member of a land assault crew on a Star Destroyer five days before the destruction of the Empire's Super Weapon. Raxis is currently a relaxed "employee" of Jadda the Hutt and is a freelance bounty hunter.
Background
Raxis was born an only child to a family of crooks. His father was a small-time smuggler and his mother was a confidence artist in the cantinas of Tatooine. As a child he lived off of scraps of food tossed to him unwantingly from his father, as his mother spent nights in the beds of the men she was to steal from. Raxis was the source of stress relief for his father when he felt the need to abuse another for his frustrations, for if his father were to hit his wife for her infidelity he would surely gain an enemy of one of her lovers. Raxis' mother was a loving woman, and spent her time teaching Raxis about street smarts, and how to protect himself from the evils of the world. His mother, Lyaga, cared for him very much, and was his only friend. However, time continued to turn and Raxis was brutalized in her place. Finally, one evening, Lyaga came home to find Raxis being harmed, and turned a vibro-blade on his father. When the dust cleared, Raxis' father had fallen atop his mother, burying the blade into her chest. Lyaga lay in a pool of her own blood, gagging, as Raxis took his grandfather's blaster and raised it to his father's skull.
Raxis never felt guilty about it, nor did he ever cry for his mother. He was 15 years old at the time of their departure. Homeless and young, Raxis saw a posted message for the Empire recruiting brave men for a valorous tour of duty. Needing money and a place to live, he signed up.
At the end of a mediocre tour of duty, Raxis found himsef lucky to not have been obliterated by the Rebels while stationed on the Death Star. Five days before the demise of the Super Weapon, he was reappointed to sector patrol on Tatooine for the last 4 weeks of his enlistment. Jaded and mourning for his only friends who were stationed on the Death Star, he decided to not re-enlist at the end of his term.
He took his knowledge of combat and killing to the bounty hunter's guild and enlisted. Based out of Tatooine, he was often called to make "collections" for the Hutts, and gained a mediocre reputation amongst them. Gaining word of a new prospect, he was sent further out into the outer rim to assist a member of Jadda the Hutt's regime for larger amounts of money per job.
Shortly after relocating to New Plouton, Raxis resumed his career as a
bounty hunter, until he was confronted by a member of the Jedi order. He was
informed of his force capability, and offered a chance to learn the secrets
of the force within him. No more than five hous later he was also reunited
with three allies from his past, and began to feel warmth again in a life
containing both friends and peace. Finding the life of the bounty hunter to
be fragile and risky, he decided to stop hunting to focus on his teachings
and his companions.
Raxis knew that once the crime families got word of his disappearance (not to mention the bombing of Weibran's Masquerade Ball), that he would possibly be a target for bounties, and promptly went into hiding. No longer under the protection of the Hutts, he turned to his friends for protection. Gort, Tralesha, and Ronan decided to stay at his side until he could walk safely alone again. However, with the recent fall of the Empire, the Bounty Hunter's Guild would no longer have Imperial funding, and if the Republic decided to form again the guild itself would be in danger. Raxis realized that his mercenary ideal was existant only because of his twisted upbringing and lack of family. For years, he'd silently hoped for a chance to get out of the syndicates without ensuring his death, and that this was his only chance. He'd forgiven himself for his actions as a Stormtrooper and Bounty Hunter, but also decided that he could forge his talents for a cause that the innocents could benefit from. With the aid of his companions, Raxis formed the Red Dragon Society. Seeking to enlist former rebel soldiers, pilots, and supporters, the society began its pledge to combat the oppression caused by crime families and the criminals that supported them. Healed of his demons, Raxis sought to give back to the universe what he took from it to begin with.
Personality:
Raxis is sarcastic, alongside a weatherbeaten personality. He'd allowed himself to suffer for numerous years under the fierce grip of abusive parents, the Empire, and various crime syndicates for he had no other place to go. He's no longer punishing himself for his sins against the innocents of the galaxy, and has found warmth in concepts such as family, friends, and righteousness. While not being a zealot, Raxis feels strongly about ensuring a safe galaxy free from crimelords and assasins. While still being blunt and dominant, Raxis is a man who is devoted to his friends and those who are victims of the evils of modern time. However, he does prefer to be anonymous to those he aids. His true colors show when in company of his companions, with whom he allows himself to adopt a more playful attitude.
Vehicle of Choice:
None.
Form of Dress:
Raxis wears his hair in a ponytail tied with a red scarf, and his bangs loom down the sides of his face to frame his cold gaze. He dresses in black breeches that bear a low slung heavy blaster on his hip, accompanied by a heavy utility belt. He wears a red tunic that buttons diagonally over his chest in a militant fashion, and his boots are polished black as the vacuum of space. He can often be seen wearing a black cloak and scarf that covers his nose and mouth, furthering his intimidating appearance. He wears black leather gloves with the fingerholes cut out.
