Physical Description:
Leija is tall, and trim, with an athletic build, and a shapely figure that gives her an air of both strength and sex appeal. She has the black hair, and blue-toned skin of her people, as well as the tell-tale crimson glow in her eyes that all Chiss have as a result of exposure to an oxygen dominated atmosphere. She wears her hair long, but will pin it up, sometimes, to keep it out of her way when fighting.

She has a scar on her stomach, near her naval, that looks to be from a knife wound, and a tattoo, of a Krayt Dragon, curling around her right bicep.

Professional History:
Leija never had any intention of becoming a Bounty Hunter. But, circumstances forced her into it. After the initial first contact between the Chiss and the Empire, relations with the Minions of Palpatine were rocky, at best. Some of the Chiss favored an allegiance with the Emperor. But others favored maintaining the Chiss tradition of isolation. Palpatine, of course, wanted to dominate the Chiss as he did the people of the former Republic.

Leija's mother was one of those who opposed relations with the Empire. And she paid the price for it, when she became involved in an attempt to liberate a group of Wookiees enslaved in an Imperial work farm. She was murdered by the Transdoshan Bounty hunter, called Bossk.

Her brother, on the other hand, went into the service of the Empire, against their father's wishes. And he now serves what remains of the Imperial forces as a spy, and assassin.

Originally a scientist, Leija became involved in the conflict between the Rebel Alliance and the Empire after the murder of her mother. And in her attempts to exact her revenge on Bossk, she entered the world of Bounty Hunters and Assassins that he was a part of.

In exchange for information that promised to lead her to Bossk, Leija took on a contract to bring in a smuggler wanted for stealing from an Azanti crimelord. One thing lead to another, as the saying goes, and after her husband was murdered, vengeance lead her deeper into the criminal underworld.

But, due to the death of her mother, Leija would not, and will not take on a job benefiting the Empire in any way.

Background:
Sheal'eijan'danurinda, or Leija, as she is best known was born on the Chiss Homeworld of Csilla, over 35 years ago. And, as all Chiss do, she grew up fast, literally.

Since the Chiss growth pattern essentially bypasses the adolescent years, causing a Chiss to reach physical adulthood between the ages of 10 and 12, Leija has had ample time to experience more in her lifetime than most people would before they reached their elder years.

Her father was a military man, and by the time Leija was grown, commanded his own starship in the Expansionary Defense Fleet. And her mother was an environmental conservationist, and due to the family's wealth and position, a philanthropist if a cause struck her fancy.

Leija grew up learning the values of both her parents. Her father's strict, stoic military style, and her mother's hedonistic ways both influenced the young girl. And she found herself fascinated, in her brief youth, with science. Desiring to become a scientist, and perhaps serve in the EDF as a Science Officer, Leija attended the prestigious Dol'miriad University on Csilla for three years, starting at age 11.

It was during Leija's time at the University that the Empire first made contact with the Chiss. And by the time she had graduated, with her degree in Primary Sciences, Zar, as he was called, had gone into the service of the Empire, though he was still very young. Essentially ungrown, he was taken by Palpatine, and trained to be a top-notch intelligence agent.

But the Empire's involvement on Csilla enraged Leija's mother. As the EDF went about protecting the Chiss' borders, and their cherished privacy, Leija's mother left Csilla for Imperial Space, to get involved in the growing Rebellion against Palpatine's tyranny. She joined a group of Mon Calimari freedom fighters, who were waging a guerilla war against the Empire in a system near the Wookiee homeworld of Kashyyk.

The Mon Cals, benefiting from the Chiss woman's skills in strategy and deductive reasoning, managed to liberate an Imperial work-camp manned by Wookiee slaves. A price was placed on Leinalana'piral'mijalasa's head, and two years later she was caught, and murdered by Bossk, a notorious Bounty Hunter. And it was rumored that Leija's brother had been involved in helping Bossk track down the Mon Calamari unit, and their new Chiss leader.

He had helped to murder his own mother.

When Leija heard of this, she was enraged. She begged her father to go after Bossk, but he would not. It was not the Chiss way, to violate their own personal privacy, and well-guarded secrecy to become involved in the affairs of others. He would do his duty, and remain in the EDF guarding the Chiss Expanses against invaders, and interlopers. But he would do no more.

So, it was up to Leija to try and track down her mother's killer. She started by travelling to Tatooine, a know meeting place for criminals from all over the galaxy. It was in the Outer Rim, and as lawless as a world could be without turning to chaos. Virtually run by the Hutts, Tatooine was the place to find a Bounty Hunter...or to become one.

Not long after she arrived on Tatooine, Leija fell in with a local smuggler, and gambling boss called Serio Alacer, an Azanti who was in fierce competition with the Hutts for spice smuggling revenues. Alacer offered Leija a deal. He would give her information that would lead her to Bossk, if she would do him a favor. Bring in a smuggler who had decided to run off with a load of spice he had been transporting for Alacer, and sell it to Jabba the Hutt.

Leija agreed, and held up her end of the bargain well beyond Alacer's expectations. But, he had no information to offer. Betrayed, Leija helped the smuggler escape Alacer, and to avoid any retaliation from the Azanti, left Tatooine on the man's ship. The smuggler's name was Deef Molor. He was a Quarren. And after travelling together for two years they fell in love, and were married on Mon Calimari.

For most of what remained of the Imperial Civil War, Leija and her husband worked for the Rebels, smuggling arms and transporting Alliance dignitaries to important negotiations, as they tried to get more worlds to join their cause. Then, a year before the destruction of the second Death Star, at the Battle of Endor, Deef Molor was murdered by agents of the Empire, led by Leija's brother, Itzagosh'alma'daopolantizar.

Now she had two scores to settle. The deaths of her mother, and her husband. Taking Molor's freighter, Leija returned to Tatooine, intent upon hiring a Bounty Hunter to help her find her brother. There, she encountered Alacer, the Azanti, and was forced to kill him in self defense. But, taking a life so suddenly and brutally hardened her. She had killed before, during her adventures with the rebellion. But this was hand to hand combat.

And it was her first step to becoming the woman she is today.

Determined to find the man who murdered her husband, Leija entered the underworld, and began to follow leads that led her deeper and deeper into that world. She became a Bounty Hunter, and though she tried, at first, to avoid killing and bring her targets in alive, it was never that easy. As time went on, Leija became more jaded and became used to her work. And in true Chiss fashion, became quite proficient at it.

On one of her first "assignments" she was sent to kill another Bounty Hunter who had dared to ask a local crimelord for a higher price on a quarry than was being offered. Leija killed the man, and took as a souvenir, the weapon he was carrying. It was an ancient sword, with an intricately decorated, curved blade. Leija learned how to use the weapon, on a basic level.

And now it is something of a trademark for her. And along with the guild tattoo on her right arm, is known across the galaxy as the mark of one of the most diligent and methodical Bounty Hunters in the business.

Active in the profession for long enough, now, to have made a name for herself, Leija seems to have tired of revenge. Or perhaps she throws her anger into her work. In any case, she is good at what she does, and that puts her in high demand. Even in the Yallder district of New Plouton, where Leija has lived for the past few months. A relatively new arrival on the scene there, she is already making her presence known.

But, Leija keeps her business to herself, in true Chiss fashion.

Since first arriving at Tae Karada some months ago, Leija has made a reputation of being a bit imbalanced mentally. She has shown that she will often allow her personal feelings to affect her work, and how she does her job. But, she has also proven to be a solid fighter, good to have around when you need an enemy swiftly dispatched by the cold steel of a sword.

Personality:
Leija is quiet, calm, and somewhat cold. She views her "work" as just that - work. And has become quickly jaded by the death of her husband and her own killing of Serio Alacer. She will not leave a task unfinished, and has actually become used to killing. If on a job, Leija will not rest until it is done, and she will approach all her assignments as any Chiss would - intellectually, and with a fully thought out, and strategically sound plan.

Like all Chiss, Leija is a deep, and methodical thinker. She is also intently private, and will regard any unwarranted invasion of her privacy as a serious offense. She does not deal with such offenses lightly.

Although, essentially, a criminal, and possessed of a reputation for cold ruthlessness in her profession, Leija is actually a good person at heart, hardened by the tragedies of her life. Her mother's death, the murder of her husband, and the betrayal of her brother have all served to make her see the galaxy for what it quite often is. A hive of villainy, where a very thin line separates the good from the evil.

But, Leija has not lost sight of her loyalties. Still loyal to the Rebellion, she has no love for the New Empire, and will not take on any jobs that could aid or support the Empire in any way.

And, most of her contracts are on people loyal to the Empire, or of Imperial leanings.

She is, still, a Bounty Hunter, and will sell her skills to the highest bidder, though she is careful, and choosy as to who her clients are.

Vehicle of Choice:
Leija is still in possession of her husband's freighter: a modified Corellian YT-2400 starship originally named the Oceanspray. Leija has renamed it the Harbinger, in the wake of her husband's death.

She will also use a repulsorlift airspeeder, for travelling over long distances on a planet's surface or within a city or spaceport. This speeder, painted a bright red, and contrasting dark brown in color, is a restoration of an old Desler Gizh Outworld Mobility Corp. design, complete with an external electromagnetic propulsion system.

Leija has recently had it retrofitted with a pair of small lasers mounted in the front forks.

She stores it in the hold of the Harbinger when the speeder is not in use.

Form of Dress:
Leija always wears black, or dark shades of grey and brown. She wears leathers, and soft fabrics that fit on her loosely, and allow for a wide range of movements. Over this she usually wears a long, black cloak with a hood. This creates a somewhat frightening appearance, when coupled with her blue skin, and eerie glowing eyes.

On some jobs she will wear a body armor vest, made of some strong material that is light to wear and similar in design to a piece of Mandalorian armor. It is likely something Leija either made herself, or took off of a quarry.

She carries a standard blaster, as well as a long-barreled projectile rifle similar to the type used by the Tusken Raiders of Tatooine. And she also carries a long, curve-bladed sword with a curved handle. Though it is more of a trinket, than a reliable weapon in her hands, Leija has been known to use it on occasion to deliver the coup de grace to a quarry once she has them otherwise defeated.

The blade itself is decorated with some odd runes, or lettering; possibly native to a cult or a militaristic society to which the blade's original owner belonged. The handle, separated from the blade by a small, disk-shaped guard, is brassy in color, and wrapped in thin strands of black material - probably some type of cured animal hide. The handle curves in the opposite direction of the blade, making the weapon hard to wield without a great deal of practice.

Leija recently had the blade fit with a charged monofilament, activated by a concealed control-stud in the haft of the sword, and powered by a small rechargeable powercell built into the handle. When activated the monofilament causes the edges of the blade to glow with a slight blue glow. The energy generated by the monofilament allows Leija to slice her sword through most body armor with ease.

Superhuman Powers and Abilities
As a Chiss, Leija is very intelligent. She has a very good memory, learns things quickly, and has a natural knack for tactics, strategy, and planning.

Through hours of practice, Leija has become moderately proficient in using the curved sword she took from her first quarry, on her first successful Bounty Hunt. She does not feel confident enough with the weapon to eschew the use of other weapons, such as her blaster, but she continues to practice in the hope of becoming proficient enough with the sword to use it as her primary weapon.

She has studied several types of hand to hand combat, and uses them with fair proficiency, when needed.

Abilities and Skills:
Leija is good at her job, and has become a feared and respected Bounty Hunter for this reason. She is a good shot with a blaster, and better with a rifle. She can fly repulsorlift craft reasonably well, and is an excellent starship pilot. A natural strategist.

When not "working" Leija does not do much socializing, but she does enjoy the Pod Races. She also, still, maintains her fascination with science. She studies different types of hand to hand combat and martial arts styles, as well as methods of using athletic, and other physical skills in combat.
