Physical Description: Laedra is in peak physical shape and has a lithe, athletic build that comes as a result of intense training. Her hair runs long and is comprised of varying shades of brown. She often wears it in a braid coiled atop her head and around a bun when she's training, but prefers it unbound otherwise. Bangs hang loosely over her forehead and hood her pale, green eyes.

Professional History: Laedra has been training as a Jedi for over 16 years under the tutelage of Master Ina Galean. She was his Padawan for 12 years, after which time he raised her to the rank of Jedi Knight upon the successful completion of her training. Shortly after they parted ways, Laedra continued honing her skills and although her abilities were comparable to those of a Jedi Master, with the Jedi Council disbanded by the Empire's obliteration of her kind, she could not officially be named a Master and being a staunch believer in the old Jedi traditions, she felt it dishonourable and an act of conceit to apply the title of Master to herself. After encountering Liam Zaneth at the Jedi Temple and falling from the path of strict devotion to the Order, Laedra Vorrel left the Temple and is currently roaming New Plouton, searching.

Background: Laedra was born on the planet Muunilinst on the Tae'Karadan date Selene 24, 267 AK. Her father was an engineer obsessed with his work, and her mother was a professor at the local university. Suffice it to say, she grew up with little contribution by her parents. They were rarely around during her early years and when they were, they spent their time bickering with each other, which was all she remembered of them. Her mother finally had her fill of married life and abandoned both Laedra and her father when she was but three years old. Her father remained behind out of necessity's sake, however. He didn't have it within him to turn Laedra over to the local orphanage, especially with the appalling conditions met there. He allowed Laedra to remain in his home, but he was still nonetheless a stranger to her. To this day, she can not remember what either of them look like, but imagines she has elements of each of them in her appearance.

She was put under the care of a governess at the age of four, and was taught rudimentary mathematics, reading, and writing. She had always easily absorbed information and had an extraordinary recall ability, which was one of the first signs of her untapped powers. When she was five, a strange man appeared on her doorstep, and when her eyes met his, a part of her knew he was there to take her away. His smile was warm and his brown eyes were soft as they met hers. In that instant, she felt closer to the man than she had the father she'd shared a house with for five years. The man met with her father on one of his rare stays at home. She wasn't allowed to listen in on the discussion he'd had with her father, but it was rather brief and ended with her father nodding his head profusely and shaking the man's hand. After that, she was hastily taken by the strange man with the ruffled brown hair and the flowing white robes, and hasn't seen Muunilinst since.

They travelled on his ship for what seemed weeks to Laedra, although she had lost track of time in space. The man kept to himself for part of the journey, merely smiling at Laedra as he fed her, tucked her in and basically provided for her and tended to her as her true father should have. After what seemed like a few days, the man sat down with Laedra and after a few moments of silence, he leaned towards her and said in a voice as smooth as carbosyrup, "Greetings, Laedra Vorrel. This," he said as he motioned to the small cabin, "is the first day of your pursuit of destiny. And I shall be your guide."

Laedra was incapable of comprehending this, but over the years, and during her training with Master Ina Galean, she attempted to follow the path she soon realized was laid out for her. They travelled the galaxy together, evading the Imperials who were wont to extinguishing those of their kind, and Laedra advancing in her training. She spent 12 years of her life with Ina, her Master and father both, until one sorrowful day, he informed her that her training was complete. Laedra accepted reluctantly the new title he bestowed upon her, and as a Jedi Knight, she parted ways with Master Ina and set out on her own.

Her self-appointed mission was to traverse the galaxy alone, seeking further harmony with the Force and doing her part to stop the Empire's conquest. Through it all, she let the Force guide her and it led her to a planet in the heart of the outer rim. She journeyed to Tae'Karada in search of the next juncture in her destiny to be fulfilled. It was there she faltered and strayed from the path of devotion to the Order. Upon her first day there, she met Liam Zaneth and soon after engaged in an affair with him. From there all her most troubling memories and past heartbreaks surfaced and tormented Laedra. She went to all lengths to drive Liam from his wife, Yelara, so they could be together fully. Liam was captured by Dargus Kandran one day, and this forced Laedra to reflect on all she had been doing, and how close she was coming to the dark side. With the help of Koran Darr, another Jedi Master at the Temple, Laedra was able to stop her spiral into self-destruction. Following the attack on the Temple, orchestrated by Dargus Kandran, Laedra made the decision to leave and seek out her true purpose in life. She now roams Tae'Karada, searching for answers and for a path to walk upon. If it leads her back to the Jedi, she knows she would willingly accept it.

Personality: Laedra was taught discipline and obedience by her Master, qualities she carries with her still. She focuses on the tasks given her by the Force and with determination, strives to complete them successfully. She is quite erudite and is well versed in Jedi lore and literature. Being a meek, solitary individual, she never seeks confrontation, but if it seeks her, she uses the teachings of her Master to guide her along the least violent path of resolution. She follows the old tradition of the Jedi, and her teachings and beliefs reflect that. However, upon encountering the Ancient Jedi who once inhabited the Temple, she has incorporated their unique teachings into those of the Jedi of old. She hopes this will mean a new era for the Jedi Order.

Form of Dress: Laedra owns formal Jedi robes, but since her departure, she has taken to wearing civilian clothing. She dresses in casual garbs, but always wears a cloak to conceal her lightsaber, the one item she never has far from reach.

Superhuman Powers and Abilities Laedra is sensitive to the Force and currently has no Jedi rank, although her capabilities are those of a Master. She is a talented hand-to-hand combat fighter and adept at using the lightsaber. She is accomplished at telekinesis, and can also use the Force to communicate with other Jedi telepathically. Her ability to absorb information is aided by the Force as well, and is what gives her the amazing recall ability she's had since she was a child.

Abilities and Skills: Laedra is very learned, and is a repository of knowledge, both literary and other subjects such as mathematics, astrometrics, and xenobiology.
