Keeve is the son of Kaysa Zenarr-Tregat and her estranged husband, Cadwin Tarell. Before Keeve was born, Cadwin abandoned both Kaysa and her unborn child. Kaysa was left to bear the pregnancy on her own, but on what translates on Tae'Karada to Vadris 26, 288 AK, Keeve Tarell was born. Unable to bear the thought of raising the son of her estranged husband, Kaysa handed care of her only child over to her parents on Bespin, which caused Kaysa 10 years of remorse and guilt. His name was legally changed to Keeve Zenarr at that point, and has been raised by his grandparents ever since. Because of Kaysa's dealings with Dargus Kandran, however, she sought out her son and had him brought to Tae'Karada so she could better protect him in case Dargus decided to hurt her through her only child. So, on Niothe 9, 4 ABY, Keeve Zenarr arrived on Tae'Karada, and from the very start, he wreaked havoc and chaos wherever he went. He had a mischievous, devious nature, much like his mother, but took a quick liking to his Auntie Shiv.

For a time, Keeve managed to adjust to the rather drastic change in his life and warmed up to Zale, Kaysa, and even Merrick. All that was undone, however, when Dargus Kandran devised a scheme to recapture Shiv in his pursuit of owning the New Plouton spaceport. Dargus coaxed the boy into handing Shiv over to his possession by giving him the means to subjugate Shiv and to make her more compliant to his wishes. Keeve, being ardently in love with Shiv, accepted Dargus' help and in the end, led her to him. It was then that Shiv, Dargus, Keeve, Lerrah Breijal, and one of Dargus' pleasure slaves fled Tae'Karada and escaped to Dargus' cruiser. Keeve went willingly.

Keeve at ten years old

While racing one day in Jadda's pod circuit, Keeve encountered Shiv and the two could do nothing to resist one another. She mentioned she was performing at the Palace of Stars, and Keeve decided to attend. Keeve's jealousy flared when he noticed another of Shiv's lovers in attendence and he stormed off. In the end, Shiv put her foot down and forced herself upon him. From there, they were inseparable. The two became engaged and Maeren believed they would all finally become a family, but Keeve refused to accept Kaysa as his mother. This would change upon their wedding day, where Nieme, on a rampage, attempted to kill Shiv for harming her lover, Dani. Shiv, Kaysa, Kallia and Keeve departed for Agarra to ensure no further harm would come to them. They've been there for months, and over that time, Keeve has finally accepted Kaysa and is slowly shedding Dargus' bad influence and dark teachings. It has brought them closer to finally becoming a family.
