Kambra Gant, was born in Otoh Gunga thirty-seven years ago. He was unhappy with the existence living on Naboo offered and decided to leave. He found a transport off the planet, and ventured out into the galaxy. He took several mercenary jobs during, and one of them led him to a smalltime petty crimelord named Robe Soratz. He'd been hired to eliminate a group of mercenaries who would be trying to assault one of Soratz's holdings. However, the crimelord had double-crossed him and when he tried to finish the job, it nearly cost him his life. Afterwards, his confrontation with Soratz did not go well. The man kept two wookiees as bodyguards, and they were ready for Kambra when he got there. He escaped the fight alive, barely. Before he was able to flee the scene, he discovered a new meaning to pain as one of the wookiees blasted off one of his eyes.

A few years after the first fight with Soratz, Kambra planned his revenge. He tracked Soratz down and staged his assault. It was quicker and bloodier, leaving Soratz and his two wookiees dead. He found himself in a difficult position because he hadn't expected the Twi'lek slave girl to be there. In a fit of compassion, he helped her and that moment changed the course of his life forever. Her name was Oot Kovan and she was a bright, young woman. With his help, they started the Tarabassic Syndicate. Kambra quickly became one of Oot's most trusted confidantes. He has saved her from many of the threats that plague those in power, and has always put protecting her life ahead of preserving his own.
