Physical Description:

Jae Dyn is an attractive woman of the human species. Her body is in top physical form, a product of her metabolism and Jedi training. She has dark brown hair normally worn in either pulled back in a thong or braided. Her dark brown eyes are alert and penetrating. When she reaches the point of exhaustion, her eyes reveal the pain she has endured in seeing her friends cut down by the Emperor and his minions.

Professional History:

Jae Dyn has been in hiding for many years. With the Emperor and Darth Vader killing every Jedi they come across, she hid herself on a remote Rim world in hopes of laying low until she could find the strength to face them. She has been a Jedi Knight for the last seven years.

Background:

Nordis-Kae was always a heavy commerce planet. Torane and Sorella Brael were active in the merchant community, dealing in all sorts of goods. Their operation was above-board and legal in every respect. Torane would not hear of any talk about how the good credits were in some of the other more seemly trades.

Kallia Brael, the couple's daughter, loved to accompany her father when he would take his freighter to a new planet to open trade. The places he would go were always fabulous.

One trip, however, changed everything for the young girl. As they were talking to a shop-owner in the central commerce district, Kallia noticed a man watching her from the shadows. He beckoned to her. Despite the circumstance, Kallia was unafraid. She excused herself from her father's side and approached the man.

"The Force is strong in you, young one," he said. "Perhaps the light has not gone out so completely."

The man, Tal Dan Laeken, explained what was happening in the galaxy. About the Empire's quest to extinguish the Jedi. About what being strong in the Force meant. About how Kallia could make a difference in the balance of the war between the light and dark.

"I would like for you to come with me," Tal Dan said. "To train in the ways of the Jedi. To help me stop the Emperor and Darth Vader."

Kallia knew what he was asking of her was the right thing for her to do. She agreed, but she would need to talk to her father first. Once Torane had finished his business, Kallia motioned him over to the secluded alley in which she and Tal Dan had hidden themselves. She and Tal Dan explained.

Reluctantly, Torane allowed Kallia to go with Tal Dan for training.

And so, Kallia became a Padawan learner. As was custom, she changed her name to Jae Dyn Brael. In Tal Dan's ship, an older Lurker scout ship, they made their way to a planet in the outer rim. The planet, Thesebban, was an ideal spot for training a young Jedi: out of the way, and not a place any sane person would ever go to look for Jedi. The world was small and offered very little in the way of resources. Most of the resources had to be brought in on a monthly supply run.

The training was strenuous, but Jae Dyn did well. The years stretched on and her abilities progressed slowly. Tal Dan did not want to push too fast out of fear of alerting Vader or the Emperor.

One dark gray morning, when Tal Dan was supposed to return from his supply run, Jae Dyn felt a grave disturbance in the Force. She knew without a doubt that Tal Dan's life had been snuffed out. And, she felt whoever had killed him would be coming for her too.

Without hesitation, she grabbed her things and made for the landing platform where Tal Dan kept the other ships: a pair of Skyhawks, older style fighters whose production line had ceased many years earlier. Jae Dyn stowed her gear in the small cargo area and jumped inside. She lifted away from the planet and set a course further out in the rim.

Jae Dyn spent the next several years in hiding. She maintained a low profile on the worlds on which she lived. Occasionally word of the Rebellion would reach her and she'd silently hope for their success. She did not want to join though. She would only bring them trouble.

She kept her lightsaber hidden, though always close at hand, and wore clothing that did not resemble normal Jedi clothing. She kept the Jedi robes and other garments hidden with her other gear though. One day, the Emperor would be overthrown and the Jedi would return.

Staying in one place too long always brought the fear the Emperor would find her. To stay hidden, Jae Dyn would move to a new planet when she felt she might start drawing attention. After nearly a year and a half on Cantis III, Jae Dyn relocated to Chimaeria.

Shortly after arriving on Chimaeria, Jae Dyn encountered Dargus Kandran. She felt strength with the Force in him, and put her mind to turning him back to the Light. In the end, she found that it was a futile attempt and he would never turn from his darkness. During her time near Kandran, she met and fell in love with Yelara Neerou. The unfortunate problem was that Yelara was also involved with Kandran, and did not have the stength to break away or even deny his advances. In the end, Yelara ended up pushing Jae Dyn away.

Jae Dyn left Chimaeria and fled to Tatooine for solace from the Empire. While there, she found she was pregnant, and there was only one possibility for the father: Dargus Kandran. Her pregnancy was filled with a mixture of joy and dread. Finally on Lythe 4, Jae Dyn's daughter, Yelara Tallia Brael, was born. They lived for three more months on Tatooine before Jae Dyn was drawn back to Chimaeria.

Upon her arrival, she found herself drawn further, and found herself once again in the arms of Yelara Neerou, only now she was Yelara Zaneth, married to Liam Zaneth. The trio decided to try to make a go of their very awkward relationship, with Liam and Jae Dyn sharing Yelara between them.

Jae Dyn also agreed, when Liam was presented with a vision of a rebuilt Jedi Temple on Tae'Karada, to assist him with the endeavour.

Personality:
Jae Dyn is outwardly friendly and sociable. She strives to always maintain a certain serenity and calmness about her. She speaks her mind when she must, but strives for diplomacy in all her dealings. Jae Dyn knows the dangers of the dark side, and tries to avoid the temptations that will lead down that path.

Tal Dan taught her well and she lives by the Jedi Code as he instructed her. She has respect for all life, and will go to great length to not harm others. Due to the nature of conflict between the Rebellion and Empire, there are occasions where she must kill. She does so reluctantly, and after weighing the options.

Vehicle of Choice:
For interstellar travel, Jae Dyn prefers the Skyhawk-class fighter she escaped in. It's a good ship and has kept her safe in her travels. When on a planet's surface, she prefers to use a speeder bike for travel.

Form of Dress:
Jae Dyn does her best to avoid looking like a Jedi. She wears black leather pants and heavy boots along with a leather vest. When the weather turns cold, she will add a leather jacket and possibly a cloak as well. Slung low on her thigh, she wears a blaster knowing that her lightsaber would give her away. She keeps the lightsaber concealed in an extra pouch on her utility belt.

Superhuman Powers and Abilities
Being a Jedi, Jae Dyn Brael is definitely Force sensitive. She has learned many Jedi abilities. She's still looking to learn more, and hoping to one day happen across a Jedi Holocron.

Diplomacy, good with blaster, lightsaber, starship pilot, speeder pilot, repair, Jedi reflexes and abilities.
