Professional History:

She has been working with a smuggler crew out of Onderon ever since she was 15 years old when she stowed away aboard a smuggler vessel. She spent five years with the crew learning the languages, the tricks and the skills required to be successful at the smuggling line of work. The Crew she was part of worked with the Rebel alliance on most of there contracts smuggling in weapons, medical supplies and even people to help aid the rebel factions on several Imperial planets. When she bought her own ship she continued to smuggle goods for the Rebel Alliance and continues to do so to this day. She will never accept assignments from anyone who wishes harm to the New Republic or from the Empire no matter how high the pay is. She has also done transportation work and normal cargo work for the private sector.

Background:

Brenna Hennely was born on the planet in the city of Iziz on the planet of Onderon to Darvic Hennely, a citizen of Onderon and Marient Hennely, a citizen of Alderaan. She was their youngest child as well as their only daughter. Her mother was a diplomat who worked for the Empire while her father and older brother were both members of the Imperial Navy. At an early age Brenna didn't trust the Empire, they just seemed too dark to her and it always seemed as though she was hiding something. Her family life wasn't really that good either. Her mother and her father were always fighting always arguing about living on Onderon. Her mother wanted to move back to Alderaan but her father refused to move the entire family there. When Brenna was 14 her mother left her father and moved to Alderaan. Shortly after she did so her mother was killed when the planet exploded killing everyone and everything planet side. It was then she found out that the Empire had destroyed the planet in order to send a message to all their enemies. A year later she attempted to leave Onderon via stowing away onboard a transport ship. She wasn't able to hide long onboard the ship, within 3 hours she was caught by members of the crew and thrown into one of their storage spaces where she spent the remainder of her trip. Not that it wasn't completely boring, she was able move around and see what exactly they were carrying, weapons.

Upon arriving at there destination the captain pulled her out and asked her exactly what he should do with her. She plainly asked if she could possibly work with them and learn the smuggler trade, knowing very well that they were short handed they explained to her that this would be a permanent and rough assignment for her, nothing a girl like her would possibly handle. She insisted that she could handle anything that they put her though. Brenna was treated like garbage at first, always getting either cleaning or disposal jobs never being allowed to do hands on work. After two months one of the crew, a girl by the name of Marsar Tilmat started to teach Brenna some of the skills of the trade. Being the same age as Brenna the two formed a strong friendship together. She taught her how to use a blaster pistol and rifle as well as some hand to hand combat as well as some simple functions onboard the smuggler ship, namely how to analyze the data that the ships were giving. After awhile the crew opened up to her and taught her some more ticks of the trade.

After working with the crew for two years she asked them exactly who they smuggled for since no one had exactly told her and they always seemed to have the same contractor. It was then that the captain explained to her that they took contracts from the Rebel Alliance to help them win the war against the empire. Besides there normal smuggling contracts they would from time to time take contracts with the rebel alliance which involved them often smuggling weapons, medical supplies, and on a rare occasion people who worked for the resistance. It was on one of these kinds of jobs where she discovered her Beast Rider ability. On such a job they were stopped by an Imperial System Patrol ship and were ordered to stop and prepare to be boarded. Even though they had been through this kind of situation before something seemed off to her. The ship was boarded by five storm troopers one of which had a Kath Hound on a leash. Brenna knew exactly that the creature was brought on board for just one purpose only, to sniff out the rebels that were hiding in the floor panels right below them. All at once something came over her. She stared at the kath hound and looked it in the eyes. Though her thoughts she channeled a simple message to the creature before she passed out. When she came to she found out that the kath hound had found nothing on the ship, which seemed impossible to her as well as the entire crew.

After she had spent at total of five years with the Smugglers and had earned enough credits for a ship she left the crew when they arrived at Corellia, thanking them for taking her in and teaching her everything she had learned. To her surprise Marsar had left at the exact same time saying the two of them had to stick together like family. The first order of business while on the planet was to get a hold of a ship. Just to their luck a certain dealer was selling a ship that would be perfect for their uses, an YT-2400 Light Freighter. At first the two started off with a legal business, shuttling cargo here and there, transporting workers and passengers between planets. However once the pair had earned enough credits they upgraded the ship by adding hidden cargo departments, weapons, as well as a new shield generator and hyperdrive.

The Twin Butterflies (a nickname that the two gave each other) had become a common topic in the world of the smugglers. However her ship's name had also become a nuisance to another group, the Empire. Like her last crew she too would take jobs that would either hurt or delay certain operations that they were planning. One day Brenna was contacted by someone claiming to be a rebel agent telling her to meet him a job. She met the man who explained that the assignment was a risky one but he was willing to pay her 11000 credits in advance. Against her better judgment and Marsar s warnings she accepted the assignment, one she would regret. The Mission was to steal Imperial goods from a base which was being shutdown because of increased rebel activity far from the outer rim. Upon arrival the base seemed deserted so the pair landed there ship and ventured into the base searching for anything worth taking. After they finished sweeping the base it became perfectly clear that it was a trap. Within seconds the two were surrounded by Storm troopers and ordered to surrender. It was here that she and Marser were captured, disarmed, and thrown into the bases brig.

The two spent four days locked inside the brig waiting for some important imperial officer to come to make sure they were properly executed. This was when they decided to make their escape. The day that the Empire had arranged for there execution Brenna threw her plan into action. When the two storm troopers came to the pair rushed them catching them by surprise. Within seconds they were out and armed with the storm trooper weapons. From that point it was the tedious task of them trying to find there ship so they could escape, it was here where tragedy struck.

The two of them were sneaking around when near where they landed there ship when the alarm sounded and all at once the two were caught in a hail of blaster fire. Brenna was hit in the hip during the exchange of blaster fire forcing her and Marsar to split up. As Brenna turned a corner in the base she came across an Imperial officer whose weapon was trained on her. Brenna knew she was dead to rights but strangely he didn't fire. With a single fluid motion she raised her own blaster and fired hitting him in the chest. As he hit the ground she limped closer and discovered a horrifying truth. The reason he didn't shoot when he had the chance was because it was her brother she had shot.

Feeling sadness that she had never felt before she knelt down next to him and took his hand letting him know that he wouldn t die alone. She stayed with him till the end to his last breath not noticing that her father was there as well, he was the officer that was there to witness her execution. He told her where her ship was and that her friend had already made it there. Before she left he told her that he was proud of her and that if they met again, he wouldn't be able to let her go, next time she would be dead. She understood then got back to the Butterfly and out of the star system, and sworn she would never use lethal weapons again.

Personality:

Brenna is pretty much a free spirit wherever she goes. She is always in a cheerful mood no matter what the situation may be. If she's angry or scared she never shows it, she's one to hide those kinds of emotions. She's pretty good company and has a tendency to make people laugh at even the worst jokes. She's friendly to most people, minus the Empire and bounty hunters guild.

During a job she is usually more focused than usually but still can still chat and joke around with her copilot. During a space battle Brenna is completely focused on Piloting and never takes her eyes off the forward display.

Vehicle of Choice:
Brenna's ship, the Jade Butterfly is a modified Corellian YT-2400 Light Freighter, which she bought legally from a Corellian dealer. Over the few years she has owned the ship she has upgraded and refitted the ship to suit her purpose. The ship has the ability to carry a couple tons of cargo and has had it has been modified with the installment of two military grade laser cannons, a 0.5 class hyper drive, a military grade shield generator, several hidden compartments for hiding goods, and a single retractable ton cannon mounted on the belly of the ship, most of which were supplied by the Rebel Alliance. The Jade Butterfly only requires two crewmen to command the entire ship. The ship has no outer identifying markings, to the naked eye it looks just like a normal YT-2400 freighter.

Preferred Gear:

Since her little experience with her late brother she makes it a point to stay away from lethal weapons or any weapons that can't be set to stun. She usually carries a holdout blaster and vibroknife on her while she's away from the Butterfly or some of the more shady parts of certain planets. While going on jobs or on unknown worlds she always carried three items, a blaster pistol, a force pike and a stokhi spray stick.

Form of Dress:

Brenna wears several different styles of clothing depending on the situations she is in. While onboard her ship she usually dresses in somewhat causal clothes, usually a loose fitting shirt with puffed out short sleeves or a form fitting sleeveless shirt as well as comfortable pants. While out and about looking for work in the ports she usually will be decked out in a silver jacket, a short backless top and either a knee length leather skirt or a pair of comfortable pants that tuck into her boots. While on the job or a mission where she has to actually steal something she will usually wear a long sleeve button up V-neck shirt and a pair of comfortable pants. However she always wears a pair of knee length black leather boots with built in shin guards. She rarely puts her hair into a pony tail usually wears it loosely letting it drape over her shoulders.

Superhuman Powers and Abilities

Being a descendent of a beast rider's lineage gives her the rare ability to have limited control over many types of animals. She cannot affect any human or any other known sentient life forms with her skills.

Abilities and Skills:

She is a skilled pilot in both a starship and land speeder, has a good understanding of three languages (Twi'lek, Trandoshan, and Huttese), which helps her with her with her line of work, and has a basic understanding of a handful of smuggler skills. She knows how to bypass a handful of security systems, pick locks, slice into computer terminals, as well as being an expert at disarming traps. She is a decent shot with a blaster and is quite skilled with a force pike.

Aside from her smuggling business she enjoys hiking, exploring unknown sections of planets and spending hanging around in night clubs. She also enjoys spending time on her home planet of Onderon or exploring the moon of Dxun.
