Jedi Master Andro Ki'Ayalin is one of the few remaining Jedi from before the dark times. He was able to escape the Jedi purge when he received a vision of what was happening. He had returned to help, but knew before he'd even reached Coruscant that he was neither in time nor capable of stopping the slaughter. With a heavy heart, he went into hiding on the planet of Naboo.

It was thirteen years ago on Naboo when he happened across Talara Sorenne, a young child of only two years, but strong in the Force. It took time to do so, but he was able to convince the girl's parents that he would train her and keep her safe from the forces of darkness. In the end, they agreed and he began teaching her.

After the fall of the Empire, Andro received another vision. This one showed him a new Temple on an outer rim world. He had never heard of the world before, but the name was clear in his mind: Tae'Karada.
