Rennor Karradas expertly piloted his speeder through the New Ploutonian
traffic. His mind, however, was elsewhere. How could Kaysa have left him
that way? How could she have just walked out without a word? He gave her
everything she could want, had offered her so much more. But she had just
left. Without a word, she had slipped out of his bed, and fled into the
night.
Perhaps he was a fool to have fallen in love with her so quickly, so
soundly. His heart ached at the thought of never seeing her again. He
would have given her everything. Perhaps she was like all the others, only
out to secure themselves a piece of his fortune. But, she would have made a
perfect wife for him. She may not have had the high breeding, but she would
look good on his arm as he graced one of the many Karadan social functions.
They would have turned heads together.
He set his speeder down on the second tower of the Saudrella Spires, the
place he called home--at least the top ten floors of it. He slipped from
the cockpit of the speeder, and grabbed the durasteel case that held his
important business documents. Somberly, he left the landing pad and
approached his home.
There he was, this was her cue. Kaysa had been waiting for an hour for
Rennor's arrival, mentally preparing herself and rehearsing everything she
was to say to him. It had to be good, after all, if she wanted to placate
him. Men never did take a woman running out on them very well, and no matter
how noble or kind Rennor was, he would certainly be pissed. Kaysa put on her
best smile, adjusted her leather vest, chosen specifically for this
task as it was the only one she had, plus it showed the most amount of
cleavage.
There was no way he could be mad when looking at such a beautiful view as
that.
Kaysa ran a hand through her hair as she started forward, her arms
outstretched as she reached to embrace Rennor. "Miss me?" she asked coyly as
the distance between them began to diminish.
"What are you doing here," Rennor asked as he turned to see Kaysa
approaching. "I figured you'd be off onto your next conquest, toy with him
for a few days, and then run out on him too."
Kaysa lowered her arms and placed them back at her sides as she sighed
deeply.
"Rennor, I didn't run out on you. I just had some business to attend to."
"I won't be treated by some shill," Rennor snapped. "If you're just going
to run out on me again, I don't want any part of this. You're either with
me, or I don't want to see you again." He held the door to his apartment
open for her...if she wanted to be with him.
Kaysa felt her stomach knotting and her throat growing dry. She knew what
she had to do, but a part of her couldn't do it, despite the more dominant
part of her that was yelling at her to do so. She had no idea where her
hesitation was coming from... That wasn't entirely true. It was Merrick.
She was still shaken by what happened between them the other day. Once she
had calmed down and managed to stop crying, she was shocked to find that she
missed Merrick like hell. It was just as she had envisioned: she'd fall in
love with him, then he'd go away, just like he did that day. She didn't
blame him for running, though; she was glad he didn't stay around long
enough to get a good look at her horror-stricken expression. She didn't
think Rennor would turn out to be a murderer, but if she stepped back into
his life, she would be admitting to herself that what she and Merrick had
was over. The thought of that alone was causing another pang of sadness
within her, but she forced it back as she focused on what she was here to
do.
Vrax had chewed her out the other day, only after comforting her and wiping
away her tears. His less than gentle encouragement was part of the reason
she
was standing there right now. She'd lost sight of her goal, and Vrax had
partially helped her regain focus, but only by aggravating an already
painful wound.
Her son was always a delicate topic and she still thought Vrax was a
heartless bastard for using Keeve's condition to sway her. In the
beginning, she formulated her plan because of simple greed, the root of what
drove Kaysa. It
was who she was and it was why she had no qualms with destroying
unsuspecting victims to get ahead.
She knew now, that becoming wealthy was entirely in the back of her mind.
Keeve needed the money, more money than she had at her fingertips. She
hadn't spent more than a few months with her son during his entire
existence, yet she loved him with such a ferocity that she was ready to
murder Vrax when he told her Keeve was dying. She required no more
incentive to manipulate Rennor for his money than knowing her son would live
if she succeded.
Now, however, her former relationship with Merrick had complicated matters.
She loved him and being
there with Rennor now only amplified her feelings. Kaysa felt utterly and
extremely
guilty. She and Merrick would probably never speak again but it still felt
as if she was betraying him, cheating on him. It, however, came down to what
was more important to Kaysa at that particular time in her
life, and now that Merrick was gone, her son once again came to the
forefront.
Kaysa gazed up at Rennor, her choice made, as she said, "No games, Rennor.
No
games." She turned around slowly, her heart tightening in her chest as she
stepped through the doorway, following a path she was beginning to doubt
she should be walking.
Rennor entered the apartment with a glare at her. He passed his jacket to
the droid waiting by the door, and then moved immediately to the bar he kept
in the corner. "I don't want any more games," he told her. "No more of
this running out, or abandoning. You're going to have to earn my trust
again."
Kaysa stood at the doorway, knowing she wasn't quite ready to walk in, and
uncertain as to whether Rennor even wanted her to. "I didn't abandon you,
Rennor. I'm back now, aren't I? Look," Kaysa said, taking a step forward.
She stopped herself before she went too far. "I'll do anything to make it
up to you, Rennor. Ask anything of me, and I'll do it, just to prove to you
that you can trust me."
Rennor only shook his head. "And, what should I ask for? I know that
whatever it was would be too expensive for you. I won't be played. I won't
let you toy with my heart. I want to be with you, Kaysa, but you make that
so damn difficult."
Kaysa sighed and slowly sat down on the steps of the entryway, trying her
best to look dejected. "I...I've screwed up everything yet again. I don't
know why I keep doing this. I mean, I finally meet a man I could actually
fall in love with, and I do something stupid to push him away." Kaysa placed
her face into her hands, trying to force tears from her eyes. It
always looked much easier to do when the actresses in those sappy holocrons
did it, but Kaysa knew she'd better get just as good, and fast. "I'm sorry,
Rennor," she said, her voice strained as she forced the tears out. "I...I
hate myself for doing this to you. I..." She let her voice trail off as her
body trembled, and a few tears began to roll down her cheek. She mentally
congratulated herself on a winning performance, hoping Rennor would be
swayed
by it.
"Try to at least be honest with me," Rennor said with a sneer. "I won't be
played for a fool, and I won't be lied to. If you can't give me the truth,
then I want you to leave. I'm not your game."
Kaysa let her hands fall into her lap and shut off the tears, much more
easily than turning them on. Rennor obviously wasn't impressed
by her display, nor was he as gullible as she had first thought him to be.
She was getting nowhere with him. Her obvious charm had worn off and he was
now utterly disgusted with her. She was completely enraged, angry with
herself for being so careless and idiotic. This was her one opportunity and
she'd thrown it away, but she was not giving up on it that easily.
She rose
slowly, glaring at Rennor and directing all her rage at him as she made her
way towards him. "What do you want from me, Rennor?! I mean, must you be so
cryptic? If you want something from me, then just tell me what it is and I
will do it!"
"Honesty! That's what I want. I want you to be honest, truthful. Don't
tell me what you think will get you into my good graces. Just be honest
with me and maybe we can get somewhere. Stop playing with me and my heart.
I want to see the real Kaysa."
"The real Kaysa? You wanna see the real Kaysa?" she replied, her face hot
with rage as she stood over Rennor. "I don't think you'd like her very much.
No one ever does," she said, her voice growing calmer and a plaintive
expression flashing across her face. "The real Kaysa is a slut, a party girl
who lets strange men buy her drinks," she began, dropping to her knees and
running her hands up Rennor's thighs. "I let them feel me up under the
table,
then I let them follow me home and sleep in my bed, not even asking their
name. They could be murderers--" Kaysa paused, her voice cracking as
Merrick's face flashed before her eyes. She forced it quickly back and
continued, but not before taking a much needed deep breath. "They could even
be thieves...it doesn't matter to me as long as
I get what I want from them," she whispered, spreading Rennor's legs and
placing herself between them. "Do you know what that one thing is, Rennor?
Hmm? Do you wanna know?" she asked quietly as her hands slid towards his
groin. "It's this," she said. She cupped his balls in her hand and squeezed
them
gently. "It's always this."
Rennor shifted against her hand upon his crotch. He could feel a
stirring within him as her hands touched him intimately. "Do you fear love,
Kaysa? Is that the reason for this game? Is that why you hide from me?"
"I never hide, Rennor. This is me, all me," she replied as her lips brushed
against his. "And I fear nothing, especially not love. I'm just wary of
those who offer it up to me so freely. Is that what you're offering me,
Rennor?"
"I am," Rennor said. "I want to love you, Kaysa. I want to give you my
love. Just as long as you'll stop playing games with me." He pulled her to
him and kissed her, enjoying the feel of her body against his.
Kaysa pulled away and looked up at Rennor. She brought her hands to his
waist
and
away from his groin. "What if I can't accept it, Rennor? What if I'm not
ready to accept such a thing? Is it over? I mean, I enjoy being with you,
in every way," she said, bringing a hand to his face and running it gently
across his cheek, "but what if it's too soon for me?"
Rennor grunted. "Well, when you're ready," he said. "Let me know." With
that, he pulled from her embrace and left the room.

Kaysa sighed and laughed quietly to herself. The situation between her and
Rennor was now becoming quite comical. "And I suppose you expect me to
follow you to your bedroom. Dropping me subtle hints, aren't you?" Kaysa
called out as the droid approached her. She tore the drink from its hand and
guzzled it down, preparing herself for another round with Rennor. She'd have
to change her tactic this time and showing a little more skin seemed like a
good manoeuvre. "Rennor, don't be so coy," she said with a curt laugh as she
pulled off her jacket and threw it to the side.
"I wasn't," Rennor snapped. "I'm just tired of this chaotic attitude
you've had lately. One moment you can't get enough of me, and then next my
mere looking at you repulses you. When you decide how you want to feel in
my presence, please tell me. Until then, good night." With that, he
closed his bedroom door, shutting himself off from her.
"Now you're
just playing hard to
get," Kaysa teased as she began shedding more of her clothing. "I wasn't
repulsed by you. I was just offended by your statement, that's all. Now, can
I please come in?"
"You are far too sensitive, Kaysa," Rennor called through the door. "I
can't handle this erratic shifting of personalities. Please pick one and
stick with it."
She pushed against the door, tapping on it lightly. "Rennor...let me in,
please. I don't mean
to be so erratic. Just open the door and I'll show you how affectionate I
can really be."
Finally the door slid open. "Sure," Rennor said. "Come in. I can't get
enough of your teasing torture. Please, come in and take me to the brink
of ecstasy to only pull away at the last moment. Please, come in and make
my life utter hell. I do so love that, Kaysa. No one can tease like you."
"Am I teasing you now, Rennor?" Kaysa said, looking down at her bare chest
and laughing. "Well, I guess this could be considered teasing, but I haven't
made any advances yet and it appears they wouldn't be readily accepted
today." Kaysa sighed and moved into the bedroom past Rennor. She strode
across
the room and took a seat on the windowsill. "Why does our relationship
have to include sex right now, Rennor? You know that complicates everything
and I don't wanna ruin things before they've even started."
"I'm not the one who removed their clothing," Rennor snarled. "Even now
you tease me with your body." After a long pause, and shrugged. "You can
have the other side of the bed if you'd like." With that, he moved to his
bed and climbed under the covers.
Kaysa's mouth hung open as she stared incredulously at Rennor's apparent
disinterest. She was seated on his windowsill, barebreasted with her
hands behind her head. She was ready and waiting for him to place his hands
wherever he wished and instead, he slipped under his covers and was going to
sleep. This was not going well at all for Kaysa. She would not let him ruin
this for her, would not allow him to stubbornly reject her. This was her
game and she was supposed to be in control, not him.
Kaysa clenched her
teeth and rose from the window sill, pulling off her panties and standing
there naked with her face flush from anger. She slowly made her way towards
the
bed and watched Rennor as he attempted to sleep. He was making a good effort
of
it too, much to her dismay. "Rennor," she sang, leaning over and nuzzling
her nose against his ear. "You don't really wanna sleep do you?" she asked
as she pulled back the covers and slipped under them.
"No, Kaysa," Rennor said. "I don't want to sleep. I'm just longing to
have you torment me with your teasing. Please, Kaysa, come into bed and
take me to the brink. Torture me the way only you can." With that, he
pulled the pillow over his head and hoped that then he would be able to fall
asleep in peace.
Kaysa gave a shrill, derisive laugh as she lay next to Rennor. "Stop being
so
stubborn. It's cute, I must admit, but I can only tolerate the hard to get
act for so long. Come out and play," Kaysa said seductively as she reached
her hands under the covers and began tugging off Rennor's shorts. "I won't
bite. Not unless you want me to," she said quietly as pushed his silk shorts
to his knees and began rubbing his groin.
Her touch against him was too much, and without thinking, Rennor's hands
reached out to massage Kaysa's bare breasts. "If you're not prepared to
use that thing the way it's intended, you had better stop now," he said,
and then moved to kiss her.
Kaysa pulled away and smiled, running her finger along his lips as her leg
rested
upon his waist. "This could be the moment if you give me some
assurances, Rennor," she said softly as she lightly brushed her mound
against
his
crotch, then pulled away.
"What assurances?" Rennor asked.
"If I sleep with you, I need to know you won't just dump me. I need some
form of commitment on your part," Kaysa whispered into his ear as she
pressed her hips into his. Her hands cradled his rear as she began rubbing
herself against him, but not letting him penetrate.
"Then you have my commitment," Rennor said. "I am yours and you are
mine. I will not dump you, and I give you my word as a gentleman."
"I need something other than your word, Rennor. Men have given me their word
before and look where it's gotten me," Kaysa said, still rubbing against
Rennor and feeling his hardness against her. "I need something tangible.
I'm not after your money, don't worry about that, but maybe an agreement of
sorts." Kaysa smiled and began running her tongue along Rennor's lips.
"Stop playing, and just name it."
Kaysa fought back a moan, trying to remain composed until she'd finished her
proposal. She knew Rennor wouldn't be able to resist her the entire
evening,
but before she gave into him, she was going to get something out of it. She
knew what she had come here to do. She'd decided long before she even got
to the apartment complex. It was the only way to get what she needed from
him, and to do that, she had to give him what he'd always wanted.
"Rennor, if you and I were to...I dunno...get engaged, that would give me
the
assurance I needed. I know I could definitely trust you then." She let a
quiet gasp escape as Rennor began caressing her more deeply, but she bit her
lip and forced back the other cries that were rising up in her throat. "So,
what shall it be, Rennor?"
"Done," Rennor said with a nod. "We'll get married." Finally he smiled as
realization hit. "We'll get married, Kaysa!"
Kaysa fought back the urge to scream with excitement as everything suddenly
fell into place. Rennor was giving her what she wanted, bringing her a step
closer to fulfilling the rest of her plan. She swallowed back her cries and
merely shrugged her shoulders, answering nonchalantly, "Ok." Kaysa pushed
Rennor onto his back and climbed onto his waist, straddling him with her
thighs. "You're gonna
enjoy this, dear," Kaysa said playfully as she let Rennor enter her.
Without another word, Rennor buried his face in Kaysa's breasts, lapping at
them like a man dying of thirst. "You will make a very beautiful,
Mrs. Karradas."
"And I'll be even more beautiful in the new dress you're gonna be buying
me," Kaysa said, a loud cry cutting off her words. She knew Rennor would be
an adequate lover; she'd been withholding sex from him for so long, that all
the anticipation, all the frustration and need had been building up and
finally reached its culmination at that moment. Kaysa gripped the headboard
of the bed, using it as leverage while she clung to Rennor's waist tightly
with her thighs. She was going to have him hooked on her, completely
enraptured by her until he came to the point where he would do
absolutely anything and everything for her.

The walk in the gardens was quite the walk. It was
quite impressive how they maintained such a good
environment inside the palace walls, regardless of all
that might happen on the outside. Kal'Aran walked
amidst the rich and well kept walls of distinguished
and exquisite plantlife and thought about the old
days.
He wondered on the next few days and what they were to
mean to his Padawan, Alisson. He remembered when he
was right where she stood now in her training. It made
him wonder about his former Master, who had been
vanquished during the clone wars. He had been a good
friend more than just his master, something that he
knew he was to Alisson as well.
He saw her at the distance. It was unique that, even
though she was Tae'Karada, she would dress herself in
black leather with knee high boots and a jacket, but
also with something stylish underneath, such as a top
or so. Today she wore her hair simple and loose. She
walked towards him.
"Master." She smiled. "You wanted to see me?"
"Yes, Alisson... You have evolved to a station where
you already seem to master most your skills. You need
be less impulsive, but this last training you showed
great evolution," Kal'Aran told her.
"That meaning?!" she said with a inquisitive frown.
"That you have achieved a point where you are to face
a test. Pass it and you get to your final Jedi stage
of training... But I must warn you it will not be
easy."
"You know I am ready for this..." she told him.
"Yes, and that is why I called upon you. We must leave
Tae'Karada. Your test is to be on Tatooine," Kal'Aran
told her. "You will have to ask your High Prince for his
permission, I believe."
"I owe him so." She nodded. And with that she left to
meet High Prince Airan.

Alisson entered the room where High Prince Airan stood. She bowed respectfully and with grace and then stood back up. She knew she wasn't properly dressed, but she was indeed someone who was different in position and it was more practical and perhaps even adequate that she dressed as she did if in Jedi practice or in a current mission, or about to endure one...
"Your highness..." she said, "I come to ask of you for a leave. Master Kal'Aran believes it time for me to meet my test and therefore enter the final stage of my Jedi training. Alas, the test awaits me on Tatooine, so I need to leave Tae'Karada for some time."
"And, how long will you be gone, Alisson?" the high prince asked, an eyebrow raising with the inflection placed on the woman's name. "We more than anyone wish you to continue that which you have trained for, but we also need you here. Now more than ever."
"I cannot say. Perhaps only a couple of days in Tatooine, plus the trip over and back. I realize times are hard but I feel I can be of better assistance if fully trained, sire," Alisson replied.
"And, you do realize this planet has been placed under blockade? Tae'Karada has been targeted by the Empire." He took a deep breath and let it out. "We will allow you this absence, Alisson. Return safely to us, and then you may serve us more fully. Your skills as a Jedi will be a true asset to Tae'Karada and this conflict."
"Thank you, you Highness. Do not worry, I will take my starship which can be safely cloaked. I should be able to pass the blockade without even being detected. And I shall make my absence as brief as possible," she replied as she bowed and left the room.

Boarding Alisson's Slave II vessel, they might have a chance on passing the
Imperial blockade. Truth was this was more than a simple test and she had to
go all the way where it had been decided she would complete this task before
entering the final stage of her training as Jedi.
She was almost ready and complete in the ways of the Force, and Kal'Aran
trusted that she would pass this test and indeed become what she had been
training to. There were few that would be as strong as she was at her age,
and even with almost a whole year without training, when he had to leave,
she had not strained herself from the right path.
As the Slave II vessel took off from the Royal palace, they set the cloaking
devices, in order to pass undetected by Imperial radars. If lucky, they
would be able to outsmart the control patrols of TIE's, unseen and
undetected. Flying cautiously, Alisson made sure she placed herself as far
as possible from the main ISD's as well as the gigantic SSD Nemesis.
When they had reached a certain distance she set the thrusters and a little
later they made a light jump towards Tatooine. It was in a clear path so
there was no need to evade anything at all nor jump out of light speed to
slowly pass any other systems.
After some hours they finally decreased the speed out of light and were
right above the brown desert planet. Setting a course for Mos Eisley
Spaceport they landed the Slave II vessel. Around could be seen numerous
races wandering about. Some looking at them and some totally ignoring their
presence. All in all, and more to Alisson, this was without shadow of a
doubt as filthy as it could get. Nothing like Tae'Karada, even in Thanatos.
Making sure no one would make attempts to get a closer look at her vessel,
Alisson set up the shields and walked away to meet her Master, Kal'Aran who
had just purchased a land speeder for them to use. He turned to her and
nodded. "One step closer... Now all we need is to head out to the place
where your test awaits you. Until we leave be careful as you will never find
such a vile and retched place in the galaxy as this one."
"I am sure you speak truthfully..." Alisson replied as she saw her
surroundings. Fact was that even a couple of Stormtroopers could be seen off
the distance, their white armor contrasting with the rest of the locals and
visitors. What awaited her was yet to be seen.
"Very well." Kal'Aran smiled slightly. "Just one more stop and we can set
our ways. Alas, we need supplies first."

As the land speeder came to a stop near a commercial part of Mos Eisley,
Allison and Kal'Aran got out. Not that there was much of a commercial part
in this spaceport, but indeed there were places where one could buy certain
goods, namely food supplies and mechanical parts that one in travel might
need.
Kal'Aran conducted some business with some locals and some Jawas. As it was
taking some time, Alisson decided to look around nearby. As she heard music
coming from a bar she peeked inside from the door. As she was coming out, a
large furry being bumped into her. She had no idea what race he was, but his
red eyes and pierced nostrils were quite menacing.
Angrily the large being grunted something. Behind from the beast came a
small man, about a meter and a half tall only and with a few streaks of hair
only dressed in some dirty robes. He looked up at Alisson with piercing
eyes.
"He says he wants you to kneel and beg for pardon before he takes out your
limbs one by one..." the little man said in between giggles.
"Well, tell him I am sorry for bumping into him, that I apologise and that
indeed it was my fault" Alisson told the little man, as she obviously did
not speak the big one's language.
"I don't think so... On your knees!" the little man shot back furiously.
This had a repercussion on the big one who began to become impatient.
Seeing this like a no-win situation and trying to avoid physical confront
she waved her hand slowly in a circular motion. "I don't need to apologise
any further than I had and you will now enter the bar and have fun."
Almost robotically the little man started to repeat her words. "You don't
need to..." he said with a pause, looking at his large friend who seemed
confused by her words also. "Yes, we will enter now!" the little man said
proudly as they entered the bar.
At that point Kal'Aran approached Alisson. "I was watching you. You did
well... No need for confrontation as long as it may be avoided."
Alisson nodded. "I was lucky those two could be lured into being...suggested
as what to do."
Kal'Aran smiled. So she was aware and remembered that this trick did not
always work. Some races were immune to certain Jedi powers. "Indeed..." He
smiled. "Now let us make our way outwards. We have a long trip ahead with
some possible encounters with Tusken Raiders' parties. I have got some
supplies..."
"Let us leave then..." Alisson said simply. She was eager to find out what
expected her, and yet she frowned at the possibility of failure.

The trip had been made without them crossing paths with any difficulties.
They had passed some Banthas but no Tusken Raiders, or Sandpeople as they
were known, were to be seen nearby. To Alisson's surprise they hadn't even
gone that far out of town, as the trip did not take too long for them to get
to their desired destination.
Curiously enough, the new place they found themselves in was rocky and had
nothing to do with Mos Eisley where they had just been at. Kal'Aran stopped
the land speeder around some large rocks and got out, motioning for Alisson
to follow him.
She got out and followed him, even though she found it somewhat weird that
this could be a place for any kind of test at all, as no facilities could be
seen. Alas, through her training she had learned that sometimes rough
terrains could offer the hardest tests.
Kal'Aran entered a small cave entrance and and stopped only a couple of
paces afterwards. A small barracks could be seen and out of it came a tall
man dressed in robes, with long dark hair and a yellow line across his face.
He was obviously a Jedi with great strengh in the Force as Alisson could
feel his presence strongly. This man seemed glad to see her master.
"Kal'Aran." He nodded with a smile. "It is good to see you again my
friend!"
"It is good to be back. Quinlan, this is Alisson," Kal'Aran said as he
motioned to his Padawan.
"Ahh, your master has told me much about you. It is indeed a pleasure to
make your aquaintance," Vos spoke.
"The pleasure is all mine," she replied gallantly. She then turned to
Kal'Aran. "This has to do with my test, I assume?"
"You are eager... Have patience, Alisson. Go with Quinlan, he will lead you
into your test," Kal'Aran told Alisson.
As Quinlan motioned for Alisson to follow him, he took her beyond the
barracks where he lived and into the entrance of a cave. It had some form of
mist coming out and it was with no doubt a source of some mythical power.
Quinlan Vos stopped at the entrance of the cave and turned to Alisson.
"Kal'Aran is a dear friend and one who has helped me through harder times. I
found myself again inside there through confrontation with my darker side,"
Quinlan told Alisson.
"Darker side?" She frowned.
"We all have a darker side. It is up to you to choose the righteous path.
One can only do so by confronting with the darker side and being able to
pass over it. Inside you will have to face your fears and ghosts from the
past. It is up to you to pass... It will help you get stronger as well as
test your abilities."
Hearing this she nodded and entered the cave, not knowing what she would
find there. The air was somewhat damp and the ground was smooth as if it
consisted of very thin sand. She took one step after the other slowly, not
knowing what to expect. She was cautious nevertheless, as the mist did not
make for a great viewing distance.
She felt cold. But it was not cold from low temperatures. It was more as if
it was a coldness that affected her on her insides. But she knew that death
simply had to be part of the dark side as opposed to the Jedi light ways,
which seeked peace and prosperity of life.
She started to see some forms. It was High Prince Airan with a man. They
were shouting at eachother and High Prince Airan was calling this man Blair.
"Father..." Alisson whispered. Could it be? Could this man be Alisson's
father indeed and she was now viewing the past?! As she watched this scene
she saw Airan pull out a blaster and murder the man in front of him.
Alisson opened her eyes wide at what she viewed. High Prince Airan had
murdered her father?! Could this be true?! Was this the reason why Airan had
looked after her with such care, out of pity and sorrow for his own actions
in the past?! No, this could not be true! The High Prince was a good man and
would never do such a thing. This had to be a test and she pulled those
thoughts away from her.
Airan turned to her and his form took that of the Emperor himself. Palpatine
grinned, his face hidden beneath the cloak he wore. "Very well, you push
your feelings away. But know that what I show you is true. Your father's
fate was doomed because he chose the right side in this war by my side.
Avenge his death and join me too..."
"No, I refuse to believe my father would wrong his path in life! I refuse to
believe in your words! And most of all I refuse to stand by your side... The
wrong side in war!" she replied rather disturbed.
She then realised she was going after his plan and breathed in slowly,
clearing her mind. As Palpatine turned into mist and through it into a feral
beast with large claws he moved onto a kill, right where she stood. Alisson
merely closed her eyes and concentrated in expelling all around her with the
use of force, to gain some protection. She knew she could withdraw her
saber, but this seemed utterly wrong.
No need of confrontation when it can be avoided, she thought to herself as
she remembered Kal'Aran's teachings. After that, the mist was gone and it
was only herself and the thin sand again. She walked out towards the cave
entrance and there stood Quinlan with Kal'Aran by his side.
"Very well, you passed even my expectations," Kal'Aran told her. "What you
passed will make you stronger. You are ready to become what you have trained
for. There is little more I can teach you now."
"Does this mean I am finished?" she asked.
"By all means not..." Quinlan spoke. "The life of a Jedi is one of constant
learning. I have had to re-discover myself only recently as I had lost
myself. Kal'Aran was the one who led me back into the Jedi ways. You will
never know all but you may know more..."
"This is most true Alisson. Back on Tae'Karada shall I finish your training.
Then it will be up to you to continue your life and choose your ways of
action by yourself. I have confidence you shall do well." Kal'Aran smiled.
"Now let us go. Quinlan, I thank you, my dear friend. I hope to see you in
better times."
"Better times will come..." Quinlan smiled back.
And with that, Alisson and Kal'Aran were gone, back to the Mos Eisley
Spaceport and from there to Tae'Karada.
